This week we are featuring our Preschool 2 classroom! This week our little learners explored the importance of Personal Hygiene through hands-on, play-based learning experiences!
The children discovered how germs spread and how healthy habits help keep our bodies strong. They created imaginative germ crafts using playdough, yarn, pom-poms, googly eyes, and paper, strengthening their creativity and fine motor skills. They practiced healthy hygiene routines by learning to cover their mouths and noses when coughing and sneezing, explored proper handwashing through sensory play and a fun glitter science experiment, and practiced trimming paper fingernails using child-safe scissors.
Our dramatic play area transformed into Sick Sally and the Little Cobblestone Dentist Office, where children enjoyed caring for patients, exploring dental tools, and learning about the importance of brushing their teeth and visiting the dentist. These meaningful experiences encouraged empathy, communication, problem-solving, and self-help skills while helping children build confidence in everyday hygiene routines.
Through art, science, sensory exploration, and pretend play, our preschoolers learned that simple healthy habits can help keep themselves, their friends, and their community safe. We are so proud of their curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm for learning!

This week we are featuring our Jr. Toddler classroom! This week was all about colours. Our little learners explored colours through fun, hands-on activities. The children created a yellow banana using torn paper, stamped apples with red paint, explored blue painting using sponges, coloured green leaves, and glued circles to make colourful caterpillars. We love seeing their creativity, fine motor skills, and colour recognition grow through play and art!

This week we are featuring our Infant classroom! Our infants explored different art mediums, including dry erase markers, to support early learning and development. Through these hands-on experiences, they are building fine motor skills, strengthening hand-eye coordination, exploring cause and effect and engaging their senses in new ways. Creative activities like these also encourage curiosity, focus and self expression as our little learners discover the world around them.

This week we are featuring our Preschool 2 classroom! Through spring animals theme activities like catching ducks with tongs, the children strengthened their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and focus. Creative crafts such as cow, goose, skunk, and duck projects encouraged imagination, self-expression, and the development of fine motor skills through cutting, gluing, painting, and assembling different materials.

The children also explored sensory play through activities like the animal hunt using brown sensory materials and bathing animals with water, soap, and sponges. These experiences helped develop their sensory awareness, language skills, and understanding of textures while encouraging curiosity and exploration.

Movement activities such as the Animals Freeze Song and animal yoga supported physical development, balance, coordination, and listening skills, while also promoting fun and active participation.

This week we are featuring our Infant classroom! When infants explore writing tools they’re doing so much more than making colourful marks. They’re building important developmental skills every time they scribble.

Using markers helps strengthen fine motor skills as little fingers grasp and move. It also supports hand-eye coordination as they begin to connect movement with the marks they see. These early art experiences encourage creativity, self-expression, and even early communication, all before words fully develop.

When infants create alongside their peers, they begin to build early social skills through watching, imitating, and engaging in shared experiences. These moments help lay the foundation for cooperation, connection, and a sense of belonging.

Infants are also learning cause and effect: “When I move this, something happens!” That small but powerful discovery helps spark curiosity and builds early problem-solving skills.
