Hey everyone, I have been asked to speak at the Hoof Care Summit in early February. I will be speaking on Profit Margin, one of the topics we get the most excited about in the farrier world! Ok, that's a bit of a stretch. But it's a very important topic, and I hope my presentation can help a bunch of you to run excellent businesses to complement the shoeing skill we all strive for. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Another great convention and competition this year! I was glad to compete in the Horseshoeing classic. I managed to pull out a win in the speed class. Thanks to Chad Lauson for being our Judge and Clinician. A huge thanks again to the OFA board for all their work, it was a fantastic event! Lots of learning happening.

What a contest! It has been a few years, but I was glad to be back at the MHA contest in East Lansing, Michigan this past weekend. I was the reserve champion, and learned a whole bunch. A big thanks to Carl Via for being a great judge, clinician, and all around good guy. Thanks to the MHA for putting on and running another amazing competition, and thanks to all the sponsors for helping to make it happen! I'd love to go back next year.

Another great contest in the books! A huge thanks to the sponsors of this contest, the Royal for letting us compete there, and the OFA for all the organization and hard work they put into making this contest a reality. This was one of the best run contests I have been to. Thanks also to Mr. Travis Buck for being a great judge! A lot of good learning from this contest.

I am just back from the OFA 2024 Convention and Competition. A lot of learning and hard competing. I was very consistent in 5th place in the individual (these guys are hard to beat!), and it was great being pushed and learning so much.
I also competed in the team heavy horse competition with Sara Veenstra and Nicolas Schmidlin, and we were fortunate enough to WIN IT! It was a lot of fun competing with you both, we laid down a solid run, and it was really neat to see it all come together.
A big thanks to the OFA board for all the hard work they put into putting this on, to the sponsors, to Ben Mangan for judging, and Doug Russo for doing some great lectures and demos.

A few overdue projects finished up this afternoon. New handle for the Beanie rounder, a new chef's knife for the kitchen, and some stock made up for some hunters.

This should be fun! A "golden" opportunity, judging by the poster!

What a great time competing at the OFA convention! Not the results I was hoping for, but a great learning experience with some stiff competition! Riley Kirkpatrick did an amazing job judging, and a big thanks to Tom Barnett for striking for me!
