Music primes a baby's brain for processing sound, imitating it, and building up speech and language skills. You may hear us say "make sure they can see your mouth when you sing," and why we encourage caregivers to sing to littles as early and often as possible.

"When you sing to your baby, you naturally slow language down. You stretch sounds, repeat words, exaggerate facial expressions. You add rhythm, melody, and emotion. All of that helps your child process sound and imitate the beginnings of conversations."
