Painting with items found in nature.

The kids loved looking for different items we could use to paint but the real fun came when we got to see what kind of mark they made.

We used pinecone, fallen Cedar and pine needles and grass.

Have you tried this ?

This is a great way to take a simple activity like painting and make it a whole new experience.

Springtime means lots of new beginnings. Today we explored the garden beds, fruit trees and wild plants that are starting to wake up.

In the coming weeks we will be surrounded by beautiful blooms and budding trees.

Some of our favorite books from today's circle time were Little Blue trucks Springtime, When Spring Comes and If You Plant a Seed.

The kids loves our Daffodil crafts today as well.

We also made some seed bombs with shredded paper and mixed flower seeds. This was our first attempt that see so I hope they all bloom when everyone plants them in the spring.

What a beautiful day, cold but beautiful.

The simple Earthworm is more than just a little worm. They are essential in having a healthy garden.

Today we explored the anatomy of a worm and it's importance in gardening. Over the coming weeks we will continue to watch and learn about worms through our worm farm. 🪱
