✨Meet Ivy Graham | MBH Teacher and Choreographer✨

Ivy has been dancing since the age of two and competing since she was five. Alongside dance, she trained competitively in gymnastics and became a Provincial Level 3 All-Around Champion, which helped build the strong acro and tumbling foundation she now brings into her teaching.

Ivy trained and competed with DanceMakers through her graduating year in 2025, with a strong love for acro, contemporary and lyrical. She also completed RAD Ballet Grades 1–5 and her RAD Intermediate exam.

Today, Ivy teaches acro and tumbling and choreographs competitive routines. Her classes are very technique-focused, with an emphasis on strong basics, control and building skills safely and correctly. She loves helping dancers gain confidence and achieve skills they once thought they couldn’t do.

Outside of the studio, Ivy is a full-time nursing student, and is working toward her Pilates certification. Dance and performing have always been a huge part of her life, and she loves being able to now share that passion with the next generation of dancers.

✨Meet Taylor Magwood (Miss Taylor) - Senior Choreographer ✨

With a passion for dance that began at just four years old, Taylor has spent much of her life immersed in the world of dance. After years of training and performing, she transitioned into teaching and has now been sharing her love of dance with students for over 15 years. Throughout her teaching career, Taylor has been recognized with awards for both choreography and entertainment quality, reflecting her passion for creating engaging, memorable and dynamic performances.

Taylor has also completed her Adapt Teacher Training with Brian and Faye Foley, continuing to expand her knowledge and education as a dance educator. She is passionate about helping dancers build confidence, develop their technique and artistry, and bring their own individuality and personality to the stage.

Outside of dance, Taylor has been an entrepreneur for the past nine years, owning and operating her own beauty business specializing in nail enhancements, sunless tanning, and bridal hair and makeup. Her experience in the beauty industry has further developed her eye for detail, creativity and presentation—qualities she carries into every aspect of her work.

Taylor is thrilled to continue her journey with DanceMakers, where she now choreographs routines for the studio. Having once danced at DanceMakers herself, returning as a choreographer is especially meaningful and gives her the opportunity to give back to the studio that played an important role in her own dance journey.

✨Meet Madi Hiscox – Senior Teacher & Choreographer ✨

Madi began her DanceMakers journey at 12 years old in 2010. She began competing at 14 and trained in hip hop, jazz, and contemporary before graduating from the program at 18. After graduation, she continued teaching for several years before stepping away from dance to pursue another passion; aviation.

At 14, Madi began her aviation training and earned her Private Pilot Licence at age 17. After moving to Guelph at 21, she began working at one of the largest flight training facilities in the province; the Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre, where she managed the dispatch centre and coordinated student flight schedules.

When she eventually returned home, her aviation career continued as she took on the role of Operations Manager of both the Owen Sound and Wiarton Airports, a position she held for two years before they sold privately. She now works as an insurance broker at her family's brokerage.

After several years away, dance found its way back into Madi's life. At 24, she returned to DanceMakers and is now entering her third year back at the studio, bringing with her 5 years of teaching experience and a renewed love for choreography and hip hop.

For Madi, the most rewarding part of teaching is watching each dancer discover their own niche, find what they love, and develop a passion for dance that is uniquely theirs. Seeing their hard work, dedication, and growth bring her choreography to life is an added bonus—and one she never takes for granted.

After growing up as part of the DanceMakers family herself, one of Madi's favourite parts of returning has been getting to watch a new generation of DM Crew dancers grow and experience the same friendships, memories, and love of dance that meant so much to her more than a decade ago.
