Who remembers the Wood Show held in Durham, ON for years?

Intersections Wood Collaborative visioned by the late Stephen Hogbin is hosting WOOD SYMPOSIUM 2026 with an incredible line up of session leaders who will demonstrate, talk and share information all about wood. In addition to sessions about woodworking, woodturning and wood in general there will be vendors, a dinner on Saturday evening and an exhibition at Grey Gallery. All of this is happening in and around Owen Sound the weekend of October 16-18, 2026. Be sure to join us!

A huge congratulations to the instructors, students, mentors and staff of the 2026 Summer Youth Program. Thanks to their dedication and commitment, all sessions are now sold out! Ideas are percolating for how to continue this momentum - stay tuned more announcements about our plans to continue youth involvement in woodworking at Intersections.

More thank you's are due to all the volunteers who helped staff our table at the Hottest Street Sale this year which was a huge success and remains a great way to build awareness of our activities and mission.

Last but not least in team work makes dream work news, the wood inventory committee is a well oiled machine unto itself. We are very fortunate to have received several donations of quality wood, that has been transported, stacked, and inventoried. This helps reduce waste, provide materials for workshops and aligns with our sustainability mission to use local wood for the benefit of our community. Way to go team!
