In 1984 Winnipeg Bible College created an Aviation Major in partnership with Harv's Air in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Our grads have gone on to fly on the mission field, in commercial planes, for the Canadian Armed Forces, corporate pilots, private, and more. Some have gone on to work in the aviation field working as airport support staff.

In the summer of 2012 the name of our athletics teams was changed from Freemen to Providence Pilots - in part a nod to our amazing aviation program, the only aviation university in the prairies.

Throw Back Thursday

Sept 2025 we threw a party, celebrating 100 years of God's faithful hand on Providence.
We started off with a gala and we invited alumni to sing in the choir.

Winn Rietema, MA Counselling Psychology 2012

Winn Rietema is a registered psychotherapist, author, and owner of Karameon Counselling Services in Lacombe, Alberta. She is the author of The Brave Gardener, a therapeutic resource created to support clinicians in helping children access emotional expression, regulation, and resilience through metaphor and play.

"The Brave Gardener" invites children to explore their emotions with curiosity and courage, reinforcing the powerful message that there are no “bad” feelings—only feelings that are trying to help. Every emotion has a purpose, and when children learn to listen to themselves with kindness, they grow stronger, more balanced, and more confident.

Scott Masterson’s last day is August 31st and he will most definitely be missed. Praying God’s care, leading, and blessing over his life.
