Kade Lepp was selected as the Class of 2026 Valedictorian. 🎓

Graduating with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Social Science, Kade has made a lasting impact not only within both of his programs, but also as a leader throughout the Providence community.

As Student Council Co-President and a captain of the team, Kade consistently led both on and off the court, making him an easy choice for valedictorian.

Thank you, Kade, for being a true difference maker within our program and at Providence. We are praying for you as you begin this next chapter! 💙

We asked leadership and faculty: “Who are you wearing?”

Their answers tell a bigger story of the universities that shaped them and the journeys that brought them here.

It’s also a reminder of how influential those experiences can be, and a hope that we will leave that same lasting impact on our students.

This afternoon, some our graduating students gathered for tea and had the privilege of hearing from alumna Heidi Martens (BA In Sociology ‘13).

Heidi shared about discerning her path and leaving a career to pursue a call into spiritual health care.

She encouraged students to ask, “What is mine to do?” and to take the next step, trusting that their time at Providence will continue to shape what comes next —something we look forward to celebrating with them at graduation tomorrow 🎓

We would like to recognize the 5 Prov Downtown Students who received Student Life Leadership awards at last week’s banquet!✨

From left to right:

Winnie Amo-Mensah: Master of Management - served as a volunteer and student worker before getting promoted as an academic advisor (staff). She’s known for her commitment to see each student connected to the community, and for believing in her fellow students’ potential.

Karanjot Kaur Gill: Associate of Arts in Business Administration (alumna) - served as a peer tutor where she helped many students who previously failed their courses succeed in their studies.

Tanvir Singh: Associate of Arts in Business Administration (alumnus) - served as the Student Council President for more than a year where he acted like a bridge between international students and Prov Downtown. He is nicknamed “the walking help desk,” helping hundreds of international students with inquiries and concerns.

Gurkamal Singh: Associate of Arts in Business Administration (alumnus) - served as a student worker and all-around volunteer, spreading his passion to serve cheerfully with many students. Every time there is a need, he is the first one to raise his hand to volunteer.

In absentia: Shabadhjot Kaur: Associate of Arts in Education (alumna) - served as a student worker, always reminding Prov Downtown to invite our Associate of Arts in Education students into the thriving community life.

Piper Friesen has been named the recipient of the 2026 Buller School of Business Award! ✨

“The Buller School of Business Award is presented to someone who truly embodies everything it represents—ability, leadership, and promise in business. I’ve had the privilege of having this student in several courses, and she consistently stands out. From leading Take10 as CEO and bringing new life to the café, to continuing that work even after the entrepreneurship course ended, she leads with initiative, energy, and passion. She doesn’t wait for opportunities—she rolls up her sleeves and creates them. With her upcoming role on Student Council, I have no doubt her best is still ahead, and I look forward to seeing all she will accomplish in the year to come.” – Dr. Sneetha Saji, Assistant Professor of Business Administration

Please join us in congratulating Piper on this remarkable achievement! 👏
