*** The 3rd Annual Ottawa Salsa Convention ***

This is the National Capital Region (NCR) ultimate event of the year to celebration our Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba dance community.

This year, Rahim has put everything on the line for us!!!
- The location is definitively magnificent and magical!
- He is bringing national and international dancers to celebrate with us, including some of the most internationally renowned Canadians dancers such as Patrick & Scarlet, Corinne & Victor, Harold & Regan and the current World Professional Salsa On2 Champions: Adriano & Samantha.
- An impressive line-up of local and out of town DJ. Including 2 of our own to name a few: DJ D Vo (also known as great Salsa ambassador/promoter of our community) and DJ Chris Feist (head DJ of the World Salsa Summit Competition in Miami)

With probably over 3000+ people that have danced or are still dancing Salsa and Bachata in the National Capital Region and the hundreds of our out of town friends and guests that are travelling to celebrate with us … There are NOOOO excuses to not pack this place with more than 2000 people!!!

And for the people that don’t dance Salsa or Bachata yet … No worries, we have you covered. There will be introduction classes and workshops. Also everyone dances with everyone at the evening social dance party.

We are back after a 1 year pause.

Are you up for a challenge?
Do you want to bring your dancing to the next level?
Do you want to perform on local, national and international stages?
Wait no more! This experience is for you!

We are looking for dancers from all level for our:
1- Student Team
2- Amateur Team
3- Advance-Elite Amateur or Pro-Am Team (choreography will be done by an international renowned artist (to be announce) for this team)

The style of dance for each team can be Salsa, Bachata or Hustle depending on the team member preferences.

This is a SalsaOlé 5 MONTHS CHOREOGRAPHY PROJECT starting this July.
We will also do some other shows locally.

I have been coaching and choreographing dance teams for over 10 years and I can’t wait to share with you all my experience and knowledge.
The style will either be a Bachata or Salsa choreography depending of the team’s request.

There are around 25 ladies and 10 gentlemen that are interested to join one (or more) of our dance teams.
That means we are looking for additional leaders to join this amazing group of people.

WHAT'S BRAZILIAN ZOUK?
Brazilian Zouk or Lambada-Zouk started in Brazil as a fresh new approach to the old Lambada dance of the 80′s. The dance is unique in both its sexy hip movements and the girl’s flowy intricate head movements. This sensual dance is known for its fluidity and continuity of motion. The bodies of both dancers are in close-contact and seem to combine and move in perfect harmony.

WHY A FLASHMOB?
On September 17, 2016, more than 200 cities around the world will dance Brazilian Zouk. This event has been created to raise awareness about this beautiful dance. SalsaOlé is leading the Ottawa-Gatineau group. Last year, we were about twenty dancers on Parliament Hill. Some had never danced B-Zouk before, others had never danced at all!

WHEN?
- Session of 6 classes to learn the mini-choreography:
on Thursdays from August 4 to September 8 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. (EXCEPT on Thursday August 11 from 6 to 7 p.m.)
- Flash mob performance will be on Saturday September 17 in the afternoon.

COST?
- Session of 6 classes for 60$ (equivalent to less than 6.50$ per hour)

WHERE?
- Classes will be held at Studio X, 122- 250 City Centre Avenue, Ottawa, EXCEPT on September 8 (location to be confirmed)

The objective of this project was to get Ottawa-Gatineau dancers to know Hustle. Students learn this choreo in only 6 weeks (1 hour per week).
