Dear friends of CACDA:
With your help, the Canterbury Arts Centre Development Association (CACDA) has been around for decades supporting Arts Canterbury through charitable donations and events like Canterbury Stars Return and the CHS 40th and 50th. Things look very different in 2025 than they used to, and unfortunately, we are no longer able to meet our mandate. We have made the difficult decision to wind down CACDA.
We are reaching out to see if there is anyone who would like to take CACDA over before we shut down. Anyone that is interested needs at least 3 people to create a board of directors.
Information about CACDA is available at: https://cacda.com/about. If you think you might be interested, please contact me at [email protected] to find out more. The deadline to reach out is June 13, 2025.

Meet Krista Murphy (Costanza)!
Graphic designer for the CHS 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Then: CHS Visual Arts | 1999-2003
Now: Graphic Designer (Art Director at an advertising agency + Owner of a stationery/design company)
Why Krista thinks the event is worth so substantial a contribution:
It's what Canterbury does! We've always been the school that fights for what we believe in and pours our heart and soul into it all. We are known to be extra. To go above and beyond and leave an impression. We don't do things half assed which means we need both time and money to make things happen. Full dedication—what makes Canterbury the incredible school it was and is today.
Contributions from the CHS community will make this event possible. https://ca.gofundme.com/canterbury-hs-50th-anniversary-celebration

If you've ever performed or presented on the CHS stage, you probably benefited from the accompaniment of the auditorium piano. What music was playing? Please consider helping others to share in this experience by donating today at http://www.cacda.com/piano.
