Lots of exciting music happening at the studio these days! I've been plenty busy preparing to host my first recital for my students. Their pieces are really coming together, and I could not be more proud :)

For over thirty years, Eldy worked as a sound technician for CBC, BBC, and CTV, sometimes recording musicians, and dabbling in his own field recordings. Despite spending his life building attentive aural skills, Eldy came to me with no previous knowledge of musical notation or understanding of how to approach playing an instrument. He has had interest in learning an instrument for ages, but kept putting it off until his wife asked him "If not now, when?". We have been studying together for eight months now, and it has been such a wonderful adventure! When I asked Eldy about his experience so far, he acknowledged that learning something new 'hurts my brain, but feels good!'. He also noted generally being in a better mood, and personal growth.

When it comes to music, you have all that you need within your self. Regardless of previous knowledge, training, or understanding, you can always learn. With patience, a mind open to change and new possibilities, and the will to expand your horizons; you can do anything.

Learning a new skill can be challenging, but music education is a rewarding experience that provides numerous benefits for your cognitive health. Learning an instrument stimulates your brain to improve IQ, muscle memory, attention span, language development, and spacial-temporal skills.

I hope everyone is enjoying their last weeks of summer!

My passion in life is helping my students nurture a unique and fulfilling relationship with music through education. I look forward to your curiosities, goals, and creative flow; and building off of that to explore what music has to teach us.

It’s never too early or too late for music education! All are welcome, regardless of age or experience. Music education is a great way to not only stay in tune with your unique creativity, but also improves cognitive function, memory, attention span, and IQ!

The fall season is fast approaching, and is a great time to take on a new journey! Lesson times will be made to work around your schedule and your learning style, and your first trial lesson is free. We can take some time to get to know each other and discuss what it is about music that encouraged you to reach out.
