The Bachelor of Global and International Studies (BGInS) Academic Society is the official student council of the BGInS program at Carleton University. The Society aims to support and facilitate the interaction of every student enrolled in the program through academic and social events.

Yesterday, the BGInS Students’ Society had the privilege of hosting a Fireside Chat with the Honourable Mona Fortier ( ), Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Honourable Yasir Naqvi ( ), Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade and to the Secretary of State for International Development.

BGInS ( ) students heard perspectives on Canada’s foreign policy, the work of a Parliamentary Secretary, and experience in federal politics.

The discussion was thoughtfully moderated by Professor Candace Sobers and fourth-year BGInS student Brooke Muzzatti.
