The CARElab at the University of Ottawa is recruiting families for a new study! 

Who can participate? 
- A teenager (13 - 18 years old) 
- One of their parents 

What does the study involve? 
- 3 online meetings (interview + questionnaires) 
- A short weekly journal for 2 months 

What will you receive? 
- $176 per family for completing the entire participation

Nice to see our recent paper on child laughter and attachment featured in PsyPost.

The article summarizes our study on how mothers and fathers elicit laughter in preschool children and how these playful interactions relate to parent–child attachment security.

The headline uses stronger causal language than I would personally choose, but overall it provides a fair and accessible overview of the findings.

Laughter plays a unique role in building a secure father-child relationship, new research suggests A recent study published in the Journal of Experimental Child Psychology suggests that while mothers and fathers are equally skilled at making preschoolers laugh, shared laughter is more strongly associated with secure emotional bonds in father-child relationships.
