The Children's Place - Child Care Centres

Hello everyone,
The preschool children 🧒 👧 at Carling have recently carried out a walking water 💦 experiment, where colourful 🎨 water 💦 travels from one cup to another using paper towels 🧻.
This activity fosters the children's 🧒 👧 development of observation, prediction, colour knowledge and colour mixing skills, in addition to enhancing their language abilities.

Wow, our toddlers 👶🏼 from our Kanata location have been practicing working together on a common task. They took turns laying the blocks 🧱 on top of the structure, and putting the magnets 🧲 on the door frame. 🖼️ They even paced the blocks to each other to build their structure. 🗼One of our older toddlers 👶🏼 even said “ Ms Chris we are doing this together.”

Hi everyone,
At 16 Anna, the infants 👶 enjoy exploring with different items on the light 💡 table. We used sheer scarves 🧣 and translucent plastic boulders on the light 💡 table on a rainy 🌧️ afternoon today.
The infants 👶 enjoyed rolling them over the light 💡, and looking through the scarves 🧣.
This activity promotes collaboration, turn taking, hand 🖐️ eye 👁️ coordination, and gross motor skills.

Guess what our toddler 👶🏼 programs from our Kanata location did recently? They have started moving their art 🖼️ experiences outside. ☀️ This week they started working on a big project that everyone will get to see on hot dog 🌭 day. It’s a multi step project that will be put together with the other programs from our Kanata locations. Keep watching to see the final results. It will be worth waiting for. 😊

With this beautiful weather ☀️ now here to stay (hopefully) the toddler children 👧🏽 🧒🏻 from our Kanata location and their educators 👩🏼‍🏫 have taken this opportunity to move their circle ⭕️ time outside. This encourages the children to join and to
space themselves out and listen to stories, 📚and sing 🎶 songs, and do action games. This is all done while enjoying the beautiful weather. ☀️

This activity promotes imagination, collaboration , turn taking and language skills.

At Carling, the toddlers and preschoolers greatly enjoy engaging in water 💦 based activities. They take pleasure in making various creations in the kitchen using leaves 🍂, water 💦, sand and other materials they can find. They also enjoy participating in water 💦 splashing games as a means to cool down on a warm sunny☀️ day.
