🌷🌱 Learning beyond the classroom!
Students in our CLB 3/4 Adult English Language class recently visited Commissioners Park, where they explored Ottawa’s history, connected with the community, and practiced their English in a real-world setting. Students were inspired by the beauty of the gardens and are continuing their learning back in the classroom through reflections and “thank you” writing activities.
Experiences like these help build confidence, language skills, and meaningful connections to our city.

🌾✨ A joyful celebration of culture, community, and student voice.
At Notre Dame High School, our International Languages Punjabi classes from Kanata and Barrhaven came together to celebrate Vaisakhi with an afternoon full of energy and pride. Students shared traditional dances, songs, and poetry, and even brought the audience along on a lively theatrical journey through the streets of Punjab.
This special event is the result of months of preparation by our dedicated instructors, volunteer dance teachers, and the many families who support behind the scenes. Thank you to everyone who helps create such a welcoming and memorable experience for our community.
