"We’re thrilled to announce Two Gentlemen of Verona as this term’s production for our Teen Shakespeare Class! 🎭📜

Designed specifically for experienced young actors (13+) looking to level up their classical performance skills, this course offers a full creation-to-production experience. Guided by professional actors and directors, students will collaboratively edit and adapt the text for clarity while keeping the richness and rhythm of the original story intact, culminating in a live performance in June!

Over the past 4 years the Thank You cards and gifts go on top of a bookshelf. This year I had to shift things to a larger one! Many thanks for the support over the years! Looking forward to many more years to come!

Improvisation is a skill all actors need to develop to be a well rounded theatre performer. It teaches how to take risks, speak spontaneously, be creative on your feet and develop original ideas through theatrical play and outrageous fun! These skills come in handy as an actor and are very useful in everyday life!

"In Acting Skills classes, students discover the “Actor’s Tool Box” – that is, they learn how to
work with their voices, bodies, faces and minds to communicate thoughts and feelings. There
is a focus on developing ensemble acting skills through improvisation and dramatic play,
There is an emphasis on exploring text (scene work, monologues or poetry) and developing characters and pieces with layered emotions. These Acting Skills explorations are done in a supportive and safe space at Carleton University's CDCC.

Musical Theatre classes combine training in acting, singing and dancing. The MT courses will teach specific musical theatre skills, while emphasizing the importance of working together as an ensemble and learning about how to use our acting tools (voice, body, face and mind). These musical theatre explorations are done in a supportive and safe space at Carleton University's CDCC.
