Hello, I have space available in my well established, private home daycare that has been providing Barrhaven children a safe and happy place to learn and play for over 13 years. One space available now, and one available in September. 🙂

🐥Little Ducks Daycare is located in the Chapman Mills area of Barrhaven (Strandherd/Woodroffe) near Metro Grocery store.

🐥Our hours are 7:30-4:30 with a bit of wiggle room possible with discussion.

🐥Tuition fees are $275 per week. Please note I am not part of the Government CWELCC plan and can not offer subsidized fees. But like all daycares, my fees are up to 75% tax deductible each year as a refund or deduction.

🐥Our home and daycare space are smoke free, pool free, cloth diaper friendly, and pet friendly. (we have a dog and two cats who are all very sweet-natured)

🐥I do not transport the daycare children in my vehicle, any traveling within our neighbourhood to parks and such is done on foot with our 4 seat quad stroller.

🐥We have a bright and sunny dedicated daycare space with playroom/classroom and bathroom on the main floor of our single family home.

🐥We have a large fenced-in and shaded side yard for outdoor play, and a great variety of equipment, toys, and books for the children to enjoy, along with daily music, circle time, art and activities, in a mixed play based and structured curriculum learning environment.

🐥Our daycare is 99.99% screen free. (We usually watch a Christmas movie on our last day before Christmas break.)

🐥I introduce French to the children at a preschool level - basic words and phrases are taught via books, songs, and games

🐥I provide a Pre-school curriculum for kindergarten readiness

🐥I provide a safe, fun, nurturing place for kids to learn and play, and offer healthy, home-made meals and snacks with lots of fresh fruits and veggies, protein, and less empty carbs included in our nutritious menu. (We are *not* a nut-free home and I cannot accommodate life threatening anaphylactic allergies.)

🐥I am an experienced, ECE trained daycare and preschool teacher and home daycare provider (20+ years), first aid/CPR trained, and a registered member of the Child Care Providers Resource Network. I am very warm, nurturing, safety conscious, fun-loving, conscientious, consistent, and firm. I teach and expect polite manners, cooperative behaviour, kindness to others, respect for others/pets/property/etc. I also teach and promote independence and encourage each child to practice and master self-care tasks such as dressing, healthy nutrition, toilet training, tidying up toys, etc. The children spend their days learning and having fun, with a mixture of structured activities and free play. Hugs and cuddles are always available. 💗

We welcomed our newest little duck today, Myles! 🥰❤ Myles' older brother Lincoln used to be a little duck too! ❤
If any of our local followers here knows anyone looking for daycare, we have 2 spaces open after our sibling set recently moved. 🙂

Yesterday was the last day all together for this crew. 🥹 The siblings are moving, and Joshua has graduated to kindergarten! 🧑‍🎓 His parents and I were sad saying goodbye, as it's the end of an era. Josh's older brother Nathan was a little duck as well, so they've been special members of our Little Ducks family for many years. ❤ Josh has really blossomed into a smart little man filled with kindness, humor, helpfulness, and lots of courage and spirit, lol. I know he's going to excel in school, and I'm really proud to have been a part of his early education and growth into the amazing little man that he is. Good luck at school, buddy! You're gonna rock it, I have no doubt. I'll always remember our daily "High fives, Fist bumps, and Hugs." 😘❤

"On your mark, get set, GO!" And they're off, lol. Having races has become one of this crew's favourite outdoor activities. Hard to believe this is one of their last days all together before some of them leave. 🥹 Where has the summer gone? I realize looking at this page that I've taken a lot more photos lately than I've posted! 🫣🤭
