D. Roy Kennedy Public School is teaming up with McDonald’s for a Fundraising Night! Skip the cooking and join us for a meal that gives back.
• 📅 When: Wednesday, March 25th
• ⏰ Time: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• 📍 Where: McDonald’s at 2625 Carling Ave, Ottawa

How it works: Simply show the flyer below (on your phone or printed) to the cashier when you order. 20% of the proceeds from your purchase will go directly toward supporting our Kindergarten Forest School Program! 🍪 KINDNESS COOKIES — Friday, February 27th, 2026 🍪

Let’s sprinkle kindness everywhere! Join us on Friday, February 27th as we celebrate caring, connection, and community. 💛

✨ Bring a toonie to purchase a delicious cookie and write a heartfelt message for our Act of Kindness Mural!

Every message added helps build a wall of positivity that our whole school can feel. Once the mural is complete, the school will be sharing it with our local community grocery store as a special thank-you for their generous support of our school fundraising initiatives.

The amazing student council Blue Crew has put together the February edition of our school newsletter, and it’s packed with spirit days, celebrations, and fun activities happening all month long!

✨ Thank You School Community! ✨

On behalf of the Parent Council, a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support our Winter Celebration last Thursday. The turnout, the energy, and the generosity truly made the night so special ❄️💙

We are incredibly grateful to our community members and local supporters who donated to and participated in our raffle and silent auction, and a heartfelt thank you to our amazing school staff for all their support in helping us raise funds. Because of you, the event was a tremendous success and raised an incredible amount that will go directly back into our school 🙌

Here’s how the funds will be used:
✈️ Junior classes – bussing for their upcoming Aviation Museum trip and classroom supplies
🔬 Primary classes – Scientists in Schools programs and trips to the Agricultural Museum
🌲 Kindergarten – Forest School experiences
🎉 Senior classes – year-end celebrations

This is what community looks like. Thank you for supporting our students and helping create meaningful experiences for every grade. We couldn’t do it without you!
