With great sadness, we share the passing of our beloved founder, Rosemary Swan.

We are devastated to be delivering this news on behalf of Rosemary’s family. This is an incredibly difficult time for them. They know how much Rosemary was loved in our community and understand that many of us want to offer support. At this time, we kindly ask that you respect their privacy, allowing them the time and space to grieve as a family.

We will share any further information from Rosemary’s family as it becomes available.

Our Late Spring Term is starting now! There are still a few spots in our Thursday evening advanced wheel throwing class with Laraine. As a bonus, this class gets to fire their work in our gas kiln. The instructor will give an emphasis on designing pottery and selecting glazes for the gas kiln. He wanted to get started or try out gas kilns, this is a great opportunity for that. We are so excited to finally share with you our 2024 demonstrating artist lineup for New Clay Conference.

Continuing Gloucester Pottery school and New Clay Conference's tradition of supporting Canadian ceramic artists this year all three artists are representing .

This year we are so happy to have and as demonstrating artists. As the event draws closer, we will be sharing so much information about these three talented Canadians. We cannot wait to have these three gems up on stage. Not only are they incredibly talented artists, all three are amazing ceramics educators who have so much information to share.

October 25 to 27th New Clay Conference is back in Ottawa at the Richcraft theater in the Shenkman Arts Center just down the hall from our pottery studio

* Yes, we do often include a non-Canadian, or non-Canadian based artists, but we will continue to have the large majority be a representation of the amazing things happening within Canadian ceramics

Come play with clay in one of our many children’s handbuilding courses. Courses are 6 weeks long and focus on teaching a variety of handbuilding techniques to make sculptural and functional ceramic pieces.
