Summer Progress 💪🏻

This is the progress I’ve made since about mid-May, and I’m really happy with how far I’ve come.

I talk to my clients a lot about seasons of life. We welcomed our second child in November, and when you’re running on very little sleep while caring for a newborn, it’s easy for fitness to take a back seat. That’s okay. Priorities change, and sometimes they need to. The important part is finding your way back to the habits that make you feel healthy, confident, and energized when the time is right.

While I’m proud of the physical results, I’m even more proud of the consistency, discipline, and work that went into earning them. More importantly, I’ve found a way of eating and training that feels sustainable and genuinely enjoyable. That’s what makes long-term progress possible.

As I get closer to 40, I can honestly say I’m in the best shape of my life. My goal isn’t just to look fit—it’s to stay healthy, keep improving, and continue being the best father, husband, and coach I can be.

Lead by example. 👊

Stillness isn’t the opposite of intensity.

It’s where intensity begins…
and where it returns.

People think I train for fitness, competition, or self-defense.
And sure, those things matter.
But the real reason I train is this.
To be healthy enough to keep up with her.
To be strong enough to carry her.
To be present enough to enjoy moments like these.
One day she’ll stop asking me to train with her.
One day she’ll stop running onto the mats looking for Dad.
Until then, I’ll take every round I can get.

When the couch says hard for last 30 seconds, then 3 minutes later this happens 🫠

The more days you train the more likely you are to have some imperfect sessions and possible setbacks. The key is to show up anyway. Not every day has to be perfect but it’s important to show up regardless.

That’s because the most important thing that leads to success is consistency. Even if you’re not feeling it or making personal records everyday, doesn’t mean you’re not improving. Some days just showing up is more than enough.

For some of us it’s about having the confidence to take a rest day or step back when we have a setback. The key is to keep momentum, keep trying and keep consistent.
