A Thought from Sir Winston 🐾

I see my Mum May posting her thoughts every day, and naturally, it has made me curious.

I find myself wondering whether anyone might be interested in what I have to say.

After all, I am a rather posh dog. I observe a great deal from down here, and humans are endlessly interesting. 😊

So, here is my thought for today:

Humans spend an extraordinary amount of time worrying about what might happen next.

Dogs don't.

We notice what is happening now.

A favourite person walks into the room? Wonderful.

The sun finds the perfect spot on the floor? Lie in it.

Someone offers you a treat? Don't complicate matters. Accept it graciously.

Perhaps humans don't always need another plan for tomorrow.

Perhaps occasionally, you just need to notice when today is already pretty good.

One thought. Who knows where it might lead? 🐾

Mum says one thought can change your perspective.

As a Westie, I have approximately 47 thoughts before breakfast, most involving food, walks, squirrels and supervising Mum.

But every once in a while, one of hers is pretty good too.

Mum has been talking about overthinking.

Personally, I don't understand the concept.
If the sun is shining, I sit in it.
If dinner appears, I eat it.
If someone opens the door, I investigate.

Humans, apparently, prefer to consider all available options first. 😂

One of Mum's audio experiences is called The Moment You Realize You've Been Overthinking, and there's a line in it I rather like:

“Overthinking doesn't just delay clarity. It replaces it.”

Perhaps we dogs have been onto something all along.

Sometimes you know enough. You just need to stop circling the answer.

Although, for the record, circling three times before lying down is entirely different. 🐾❤️

Well, everyone, Mum did it.

Yesterday was the big launch of The Awareness Shift, and naturally I was here to make sure everything went according to plan.

Today, I thought my job was simply to say thank you to everyone who encouraged her, congratulated her and helped make the day special.

I have watched Mum work on this for a very long time.
There were ideas.
There were changes.
There were more ideas.
And, between you and me, there was quite a lot of talking to the computer. 😂

But she kept going. And yesterday, something she had imagined and worked so hard to create became real.

So from one rather proud Westie: Well done, Mum. And thank you, everyone, for cheering her on. 🐾

I’ve been thinking about this whole idea of awareness, and we dogs may have a slight advantage. We notice everything.

A door opening.
A treat cupboard closing.
Someone who needs a little extra love. ❤️

Perhaps humans could use a few quiet moments to notice things too.

I know how much heart Mum has put into these 28 days, and today I’m simply one very proud Westie.

Congratulations, Mum. Your journey is officially out in the world. ❤️🐾

I have some rather special news to share today. 🐾

Tomorrow, Mum launches The Awareness Shift — A 28-Day Journey to Seeing Yourself Clearly.

She says it’s an invitation to take a little time each day to pause, reflect and perhaps see something about yourself—or your life—a little differently.

Now, I happen to think humans could benefit from a little more pausing and noticing. We Westies are already quite good at both. 😉

But most of all, I know how much this means to Mum, and I’m very proud of her.
