Ending our first week feeling pretty lucky to be surrounded by a community that shows up for our Rebels! 🖤💛

A HUGE thank you to ZAK’S DINER for generously sponsoring our new Revel Wear dry-fit athletic shirts! 🏹

📚✨Revel Rebels’ 2025-2026 Read Aloud Collection✨📚

Some of the most meaningful moments in our studios this year happened when we gathered around a story.

Reading a story together is an opportunity to laugh, wonder, debate, empathize, and see the world through someone else’s eyes. They spark some of the greatest Socratic discussions, build community, strengthen vocabulary and comprehension entering us that stories have the power to change the way we think.

From thought provoking themes to unforgettable characters, every book became part of the culture and enriched our Quest themes.

At Revel, the last week of school isn’t about winding down, it’s about leaning in! ✨

Some of the most meaningful learning happens when learners are laughing together, solving problems as a team, encouraging one another, and celebrating each other’s successes. These moments of connection aren’t “extra.” They’re the foundation everything else is built on.
When young people feel known, valued, and connected to their community, they take greater risks, develop deeper friendships, discover stronger leadership, and grow the confidence to tackle meaningful challenges.

This week was filled with connection, celebrations, reflection, and countless moments that reminded us why community matters. Because the goal isn’t simply to build a school learners enjoy, it’s to build a place where they feel they belong. A place they can’t wait to return to.
And judging by the tears, hugs, and “Do we really have to leave for summer?” questions... we know we’re onto something! 💛🏹🖤

🌟 A huge thank you to our incredible Revel community for making our Open House such a success!

This event truly would not have been possible without the families, Guides, Board members, and volunteers who helped prepare our space, welcome guests, and share the heart of Revel with prospective families.

An extra special shoutout goes to our amazing Rebel volunteers, who took on the role of hosts with confidence and enthusiasm! From running passport stations, answering questions, giving tours, and sharing their experiences with visitors, your leadership, kindness, and pride in your community were on full display, and you represented Revel beautifully!

We are so grateful for each and every person who helped make the day such a memorable celebration of learner-led education. 💛🏹

🎨✨ A day of creativity, curiosity, and connection at the National Gallery of Canada!

This session, our Spark and Discovery Rebels took The Art Quest beyond the studios exploring incredible works of art, participating in hands-on workshops, and discovering how artists use colour, shape, line, texture, and perspective to tell powerful stories. From collaborative art projects to creating their own masterpieces, learners immersed themselves in the creative process while making meaningful connections to their Quest workshops.

A huge thank you to the National Gallery of Canada team for an inspiring experience that reminded us that art is everywhere, and that everyone has a unique story to tell. 🖼️💡

🌙✨ Annual Late Night Hang✨🌙

Friday night, our Exploration Studio learners celebrated something special—their Late Night Hang, a privilege earned through helping their community and building stronger habits in their daily lives.🫶

The evening was packed with fun, laughter, and plenty of memories with highlights like our annual grass fight and epic glow-in-the-dark capture the flag!

What makes this event so meaningful isn’t just the fun, it’s the journey. These learners demonstrated responsibility, service, leadership, and personal growth to earn their spot at this celebration.

We’re incredibly proud of the habits they’re building and the positive impact they’re making in our community. ❤️

🚲 A couple of weeks ago, one of our Discovery Rebels took the lead and organized a trip to the pump track!

Today we witnessed all of their planning come to fruition! It was awesome to watch the learners encourage one another on the course, and demonstrate the independence, patience, and teamwork that make our community so special! 👏

🎉Whether they were mastering turns, building confidence on the track, or cheering on friends, the learners embraced the challenge and had a blast along the way!

At Revel Academy, the best learning happens when learners take ownership of their ideas and turn them into reality. ✨

On the last day of our Ottawa Overnight Adventure, we were given a tour of the 🗝️ and then explored the 🌷

Once back at Revel, we reflected on our favourite parts of the trip before heading home for a good night’s sleep!😴

🇨🇦Day 2 of our Overnight Adventure!

Parliament Hill, for a workshop and a tour, Rideau Centre for some lunch and shopping, House of Commons tour, visit to the Wr Memorial, sightseeing, for a delicious dinner, and a sweet treat of and Lois and Frima’s! It was a busy and great day!
