A toxic environment does not happen overnight.

It develops slowly.

Through normalization.
Through silence.
Through adults dismissing children’s discomfort instead of investigating it.

This week, 11 teaching licences connected to the Bedford school investigation in Montreal were revoked following findings of psychological and physical harm within the school environment. ()

What stays with me most is this:

Children always know when adults are unsafe emotionally.

Even when institutions take years to respond.

Relational safety matters.

Not just curriculum.
Not just performance.
Not just reputation.

Children need regulated adults around them.

The Wise Adult in the Room protects children before systems are forced to react.

It's hard sometimes to be real with yourself and others.

One thing that I have found when I give an excuse or if someone gives one to me I know instantly this person isn't being real with me.

I know this person including myself has created a narrative that they actually believe and want you to believe it too.

The hard part about it is, if you don't believe someone's narrative it could cost you a friendship.

Dems the breaks.

If you want real change you have to stick with people who keep it real.

It's the only way otherwise you risk living narratives that pull you away from your true potential.

Life is hard please keep shining bright.

I never.understood narcissistic abuse until I found myself under water unable to breathe.

It wasn't until everything was stripped away that I fully understood loss, grief, heartache and confusion.

It wasn't until I became trauma informed that I completely understood that I will never fully understand someone else's pain.

But these experiences have changed me for the better.

I have increased compassion for myself and others and I am able to set clear boundaries and stick to them.

When we can use life experiences to gain inner wisdom the beauty truly unfolds.

I know it's scary and painful. You are not alone.

Our dear Anne Celeste has been processing a family emergency, please keep her prayer.

And myself I have been taking a break off social media to tap into my creative sides.

Along with preparing for my up and coming improv shows, sewing new outfits for my stand up comedy sets, I managed to get out into the country to reconnect with nature.

Gathering flowers, leaves and roots have inspired me to create essential oils blends that have had a huge impact on my healing.

A hard truth for many but the silent treatment is a form of abuse.

No need to shame, blame or revisit past hurts but we can learn and move forward with a greater love for ourselves and others.
