Registration for Imagine Architecture 2026 is now open! We welcome high school students from across Canada and beyond. Participants gain insight into university architectural studies, develop their creative skills, and get a start on their application portfolio.

LAB 101 On-Campus: July 6-10
Emphasis on human scale, multi-media drawing techniques, architectural conventions, and some physical modeling.

LAB 102 On Campus: July 13-17
Emphasis on emerging technology: 3D modeling and visualization techniques. Workshop on how to lay out a strong design portfolio.

LAB 103 On Campus: July 20-24
Emphasis on abstract architectural thinking, drawing, model-building, and portfolio graphics.

High school students in the Imagine Architecture program exhibited their work for family and friends on the last day of LAB 103 last Friday!

The event wrapped up three weeks of on-campus workshops at the Architecture Building.

A big thank you to the teaching team: Daphne Stams, Adonis Lau, Sam Lane-Smith, Noah Chatel, and Rashida Leslie, and to our academic advisor Prof. Jerry Hacker.

Last chance to participate in Imagine Architecture this summer! LAB 101-Online takes place July 28 to August 1. Throughout LAB 101, participants will design an architectural intervention, guided by prompts, starting with a site analysis and concluding with a curated exhibition of final work.

During the week, students will discover the architectural design process through architectural drawing conventions, line weights, mixed media, model-making, and transforming the physical to digital. They will develop new creative skills and understand what is required for an undergraduate portfolio.

It's not too late to register for Imagine Architecture this summer! We have a few spots available for LAB 102. It's on campus from July 14 to 18, with an emphasis on architectural technical programs and visual representation.

In LAB 102, you will build models using Rhino 3D and visualize your work through the Adobe Creative Cloud. We will explore how you can leverage digital design and fabrication tools to enhance your creativity and bring your ideas into reality.

Through design exercises focused on how architects work with scale, we will develop your skills in working with digital design tools to create architectural models and drawings.

You will also get a glimpse into a digital design to fabrication workflow using 3D printing and industrial robotics to inspire you to design and build meaningful spaces with advanced fabrication tools.There will also be a workshop on how to lay out a strong design portfolio.

LAB 102 is led by Adonis Lau, Head of Digital Fabrication (Robotics) at the school's CSALT research lab.

Explore the amazing work produced by students at Carleton University's school of architecture at the Year End Show! It will be held on Wednesday, April 30, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Architecture Building.

The show features work by the graduating classes of 2025. About 100 projects from the Bachelor of Architectural Studies and Master of Architecture programs will be on display.
