BIOGRAPHY

Aija Auzina

I am an environmentalist and educator who has homeschooled her own three children in Ottawa during their earliest years with Montessori methods. I have worked with children as a substitute teacher in an international school in Latvia both in the preschool groups and elementary grades and firmly believe that children thrive best in a home environment that allows them to safely explore the natural world and their relationship to it. Starting this home business just as my own children are leaving the family nest lets me share my love of nature and children. I hope to nurture in your children that same love and respect for life in all its fascinating and curious forms, and the joy of living lightly. My home is shared with my 17 year old son and a tabby cat. Interests include folk dancing, running, hiking and camping.
