Johannes Ziebarth: Skilled Trades Award 2025
Johannes Ziebarth is the President and CEO of Ziebarth Electrical Contractors Ltd. (ZEC). After graduating from Algonquin College, Ziebarth worked his way through every level of the organization—apprentice, journeyman, foreman, estimator, project manager, and vice president—before becoming president in 2001 and eventually CEO.
Under his leadership, ZEC has become a key player in Ottawa’s infrastructure and development landscape. The company is currently involved in the Centre Block rehabilitation project on Parliament Hill—the largest and most complex heritage restoration in Canadian history.

Guy Lepage: Rena Bowen Volunteer of the Year 2025
Guy Lepage is a seasoned volunteer for the Canadian Red Cross. Since his first deployment in 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Lepage has taken part in dozens of deployments across Canada and around the world. When he’s not away on deployment, he is busy with the Personal Disaster Assistance Team (PDAT) in his home community.
Lepage’s exceptional service and dedication has been recognized by several awards, including the Order of the Red Cross and the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

Len AndersonAnderson: Science, Technology, and Engineering Award 2025
Len Anderson is a seasoned Indigenous entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Renaissance Network Reinvent. Established in 2010, Renaissance originally focused on supplying refurbished infrastructure gear to telecommunications companies. This niche presented a viable business opportunity for Renaissance while offering benefits for telecom companies, their end consumers, and the environment.
Today, Renaissance is the cornerstone of a consortium of companies offering a variety of global technology services, including cybersecurity solutions, system integration, and equipment maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO).

Jamie Fine: Creative Arts and Design Award 2025
Jamie Fine is a five-time Juno-nominated singer-songwriter. Known for her unique voice and sharp-edged songwriting, Fine had her first big break in 2018, when her performance of “Ain’t Easy” on CTV’s The Launch landed her a major record deal. Since then, her music has received a staggering 150 million global streams—including her 2023 runaway hit, “If Anything’s Left.”
Fine has become one of Canada’s emerging pop music icons without compromising her ultimate goal as an artist: to help others feel less lonely. As a gay woman, she remembers being bullied when she was younger. Music was her solace. When she launched her musical career, she committed to give people the hope music had given her.

Denise Ouellette: Health Sciences Award 2025
Denise Ouellette is an award-winning nurse with a long track record in neurosurgery and intensive care. She is currently Clinical Manager, Palliative Care, Interprofessional Resource Team Staffing Office, and Patient Access and Flow at Unity Health Toronto.
“I could write a book with all the stories I have from working as a nurse,” said Denise Ouellette, reflecting on nearly 30 years in the field. “Some stories are funny, some are crazy—but it’s all part of being a nurse. I’m so thankful I’ve had the privilege of being a nurse because that’s what I feel nursing really is: a privilege.”

Sophia Jacob: Community Services Award
Sophia Jacob is the founder and CEO of the Canadian Women of Colour Leadership Network (CWCLN), a national organization dedicated to breaking barriers for Black and racialized women and femmes. What began in 2018 as a one-woman operation—where Sophia wrote grants, did bookkeeping, and coordinated events alone—has since grown into a powerful national network.
Guided by four pillars—Wellness, Economic Development, Leadership, and Community Partnerships—CWCLN now reaches thousands across Canada through workshops, peer support, advocacy, and Violet’s Voice, its social enterprise that provides workforce training and employment opportunities.
