Are you constantly stuck with administrative tasks on top of your work?
With projects that are not business-critical or constructive to your success?
You may be unfairly burdened with non-promotable tasks (NPTs).

Although these tasks are essential to an organization's success, they are "non-promotable" because they rarely contribute to an employee's promotion. According to Harvard Business Review, women get stuck with these tasks much more often than their male counterparts.

If you'd like to learn more and share your thoughts, join us!

In the next installment of Article Club, we discuss these findings with Yvette Wu, an RBC Women in Entrepreneur Award nominee. This member-exclusive event is perfect for those who want to earn a fresh perspective and camaraderie of a Book Club without the time commitment.

Have you gotten passed up for a promotion?
Feeling stuck in a non-managerial position?

A study by Frontiers suggests that the reason may be... because you're a woman. The findings reveal an "overlooked potential effect" that benefits men while hindering women in pursuing leadership positions.

Want to dig deeper?

Join us in our first edition of "Article Club," led by Sundeep Sandhu, VP of Cybersecurity & CISO at Rogers Bank, to dive deep into a related article by Chief that discusses why men get promoted on potential, but women have to prove performance. In this session, you'll get Sundeep's insights, hear other members' experiences, and share your thoughts.

This event is for WCT members only. Register now to RSVP:

Happy Women's History Month, fellow Canadians 🇨🇦

This year's theme, selected by Women and Gender Equality Canada is "Through Her Lens: Celebrating the Diversity of Women". It emphasizes and celebrates the achievements and contributions of women from diverse backgrounds and recognizes the important roles they've played throughout our history.

This month, let's all come together and embrace the world "through her lens." Whose achievements, experiences, or presence shaped you or impacted you positively? Tag her or share your story in the comments!
