Are you dealing with a child who displays oppositional behaviour? Are you tired of it?

Here’ some help. There’s a fun, simple and practical way to help you and the child at the same time.

Oppositional children are known to have behaviour traits which drain the adult’s energy. The child is known to have a state of the art strategy to hook adults into arguments and get his own way. This type of behaviour is also known for working along some allies. They can be identified as irresponsibility for problems created, begging, whining, ignoring requests made by adults, not completing contributions to the family (aka chores), not respecting limits established by adults, just to name a few.

We often hear the parents of these children say “How many times do I have to ask?” or “Is it too much to ask of you?”. We also hear them repeat “Go to bed: it’s late” or “Hurry up, we’re going to be late!” over and over as the child becomes as fast and motivated as the average adult on his way to the dentist.

Some child psychologists have looked into this and came up with a new method to help parents and caretakers to deal with oppositional behaviour. This new method is explained in a humoristic way while, yet, delivering some deep insights explaining two things:

1. What to do or what to say to trigger the desired behaviour;
2. How to do or say it so as to make the actions or words even more powerful.

This method has been setup in an easy-to-attend program. In this program parents learn to nurture positive and supportive parent-child relationships, to teach social and emotional competencies, to prevent social and emotional problems and to establish and reinforce appropriately high expectations. More specifically, participants learn techniques on how to:

- Neutralize arguing, begging and backtalk;
- Have kids learn from their mistakes instead of repeating them;
- Set limits with losing their kids’ love;
- Teach responsibility without waging war;
- Guide kids to own and solve their problems
- Have children do chores without pay or reminders.

This program will make you feel like you have what it takes to face it. Many parents who have attended this program have witnessed being more calm and less stressed. They shared that they don’t lose patience as often as before. Here’s what others had to say about the program:

“This is as close to an owner’s manual for parents you will find. Now, parents can embrace mistakes as wonderful learning opportunities to raise respectful, responsible and caring children.” – Gloria Sherman, MA, LPC

“The curriculum offers a powerful combination of storytelling and humor to impart simple, logical, and effective techniques. Best of all there are no lengthy steps or details to remember.” – Dr. Caron K.
