With the darkness of the new moon comes an opportunity to pause and reflect, and to open to new beginnings and possibilities in your life.
It invites you to turn towards your subconscious and unconscious mind and the deeper layers of your body to explore the untouched terrain they contain.
These dark spaces, like fertile soil, provide the solid grounding space where new seeds can take root.
Join me for a Yin + Yoga Nidra practice at PranaShanti Yoga Centre on Saturday afternoon to gently release tension and stress in your body and mind, and create a soft space for your seeds of intention for the future to land.

What if your active involvement in the healing process IS what heals?
What if being in relationship with your medicine allows the medicine to work with you?
Maybe this is why placebos work? 🤔
But really, I think it's about your relationship with whatever *your* medicine is. How you think about it, feel about it, interact with it.
The thing that's stuck with me most from my therapeutic yoga teacher training, and that I've seen to be true time after time is that relationships heal.
Relationships with other people, with yourself and all the parts of you, with animals, with plants, with God, Gaia, Mama Earth, with water and earth and sky and moon and everything in between.
Feeling connected to something, anything, is healing.
It's how we're wired and I don't believe that will ever change or could ever change.
We need each other, and we need ourselves, in concrete ways.
I like to use the love languages as a basis of how we can relate to others: through quality time spent, kind words spoken and thought, gifts thoughtfully provided, acts of service completed, or attuned touch. You can consider your relationship with everything else in this framework.
Yes, it takes time and effort, but the best things in life do. And they're the ones that really heal us as individuals and as a culture.
And if you feel like relationships are hard, you're not alone, I've been there and I've worked with many people who have as well! It could be that you're in a state of fight/flight/freeze that makes relating hard.
