I have not posted on this page for a while now. Life can get so busy and so hectic alhamdulillah. But I think it is important that we remind ourselves not to judge others on their Islamic journey. As much as we hate admitting it, it’s very easy to become judgemental of others and their journeys, especially when we are finally guided. Allah says “and He found you lost and guided [you]” (Quran 93:7). Do not forget Allah’s favour upon you in guiding you, as you were lost yesterday and guided today. Always remember that Allah is All Seeing and All Hearing, only He has the authority to pass judgment, nothing and no one else.

Allah says in the Quran, “O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims” (Quran 3:102). Repent daily, and always look for areas that need improvement, because “Every soul will taste death” (Quran 3:185), and death has no age. Many people are under the impression that we all have so much time to repent and do good, “But never will Allah delay a soul when it’s time has come. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.” (Quran 63:11)

Music in Islam is a very controversial topic in 2024, but it was not always like that. Upon doing some research, I found some Hadith and other evidences that music is prohibited in Islam, and I also stumbled upon some people who had their arguments against them. For the sake of clarification, for the sake of Allah, I searched for in depth explanations on this topic. In the process, I found this informative video. This video was very helpful to me in my understanding of the topic. May Allah reward this brother for taking the time to bring forth the evidences. It is important to remember not to judge others for not following the same thing as you, as Allah is the only One Who Judges among us. May Allah grant us a deeper understanding, ameen ❤️
