Looking for a fun and laid-back way to connect with others through music?

Our Tunesday Adult Pop Choir is the perfect way to energize your Tuesday and enjoy the uplifting power of singing.

We’ll be focusing on contemporary music, leaving behind the classical and religious tunes for a fresh take on choir. Whether you’re a casual singer or just looking to try something new, this informal choir is mainly “sing by ear”, with printed music for reference.

Tunesday pop choir is for adults with some singing experience who wish to sing pop and musical theatre hits in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Bring your voice, your enthusiasm, and your love of music. Let’s make Tuesday evening a highlight of your week!

Stay Salty, Sing Loudly!

The Alcorn Crew is back with sea shanties on Mondays!

The shanty crew will haul anchor in the daylight hours this time around, so if you work the night shift, have a flexible work schedule or you’re retired, and you want to immerse yourself in sea shanties and other folk songs of the sea, now is the time to sign on for the journey, which will also be slightly longer this fall: 8 weeks instead of 6.

Sea shanties and nautical folk songs are fun and easy for everyone to sing. They are particularly great for group singing. A good shanty allows you to bellow from the bottom of your belly (paradoxically, this is good training for subtle, controlled crooning as well). When you let go and sing loud, you fully hear yourself and others. It can make you feel truly alive and connected with those around you.

The Alcorn Shanty Crew is a weekly session at the awesome Alcorn Music Studios. Folks are invited to sing along on choruses that are taught orally. Maura is the main shanty leader, but everyone has opportunities to lead songs, teach them to others and add harmonies.

The La La Ladies is a community singing group for women directed by Elise Letourneau.

Our goal is to create a welcoming space where women can gather to sing together for the joy of it, while fostering friendships and personal growth through music.

The group will focus on singing in 2-part and 3-part harmony. Previous choir experience is helpful but not mandatory. The choir is intended as a supportive and inclusive environment, encouraging newer singers while also engaging more seasoned singers, growing together in a positive space, aiming for quality we can be proud of, but without the burden of perfect perfection.

The La La Ladies sing an eclectic mix of genres that highlight the beauty of the female voice and appeal to a wide audience.

The Alcorn Crew is back!
