Side Street Swing

To our wonderful community,

As the world has begun to emerge from the global pandemic, and life is slowly returning to “normal”, we at Side Street have been seriously considering our direction. Over the two years of this ongoing pandemic we have had a great deal of time to reflect, and to see our lives shift in unexpected ways. We love dance, and we love this community. However, after two years of pandemic life, it is safe to say that none of us are the same person we were in 2019. As dance begins to return to our lives, students deserve to have teachers, and the community deserves to have leaders, who are all in. That simply isn’t us any longer. While we are deeply saddened by this decision, we are confident that it is the right one. Side Street Swing will not be reopening.

We still love dance, and we still love all of you, our wonderful community. We will continue to be active members of the Ottawa swing dance world, and look forward to continuing to teach or perform on a more casual basis. We will continue to dance socially as much as possible, and we can’t wait to see you on the dance floors!

As we wrap things up, if you have an outstanding class with us please get in touch so that we can arrange a refund. This includes both classes that were not finished because of the first lockdown, or classes and teams that were scheduled but did not run.

Thank you all for the many happy years, and we wish you all the best going forward. See you on the dance floor!
