Do you use a sound machine for your child's sleep? 🤍
White noise can be a helpful tool for many families. It can help mask household sounds, create a consistent sleep environment, and become part of a calming bedtime routine.
Some children love it. Others don't seem to need it at all.
Every child is different, which is why there is never a one-size-fits-all approach to sleep.
💬 We'd love to hear from you.

Summer is filled with some of our favourite family memories.
Festivals, splash pads, beach days, playgrounds, vacations, and community events all bring opportunities for connection and fun.
They can also bring a little extra worry when you have a child who loves to explore.
A few simple habits can make a big difference:
☀️ Dress children in bright colours that are easy to spot.
☀️ Take a quick photo before heading out so you have an up-to-date picture of what they're wearing.
☀️ Talk about a simple safety plan before you arrive.
☀️ Consider an ID bracelet or tag for younger children.
☀️ Practice staying close and checking in regularly.
A little preparation can help you spend less time worrying and more time making memories.
What summer activity is your family most excited about this year?

Have we properly introduced ourselves?
We're Pam and Elisa, the founders of Restful Parenting.
We're also moms, best friends of over 20 years, Early Childhood Educators, Parent Coaches, and Holistic Infant and Child Sleep Consultants.
Between us, we've raised six children and spent decades supporting families through the many ups and downs of parenting.
While many families first come to us because they're struggling with sleep, what we often hear afterward is that they gained so much more than better nights.
They gained confidence.
Confidence in their parenting decisions.
Confidence in understanding their child's needs.
Confidence in navigating the challenges that come with each new stage of development.
At Restful Parenting, we're here to support families through sleep challenges, feeding concerns, toddler behaviours, developmental milestones, childcare transitions, bedtime battles, and so much more.
Parenting wasn't meant to be done alone, and sometimes having someone in your corner can make all the difference.
If you've been following us for a while, we'd love to know: How old are your children?
And if you're struggling with sleep or parenting challenges and wondering where to start, we offer a free 15-minute consultation to learn more about your family's needs and how we can help.
Many Ontario families are also able to access our services through their extended health benefits under Social Worker coverage, and we're happy to help you navigate that process.
We're so glad you're here. ❤️
