2023 CREATOR AWARD SHORT LIST: Deepti Gupta
Dancer/choreographer Deepti Gupta is the artistic director of Arzoo Dance Theatre and performs Kathak, a classical dance from India. Her unique choreography bridges ancient traditions and contemporary art. A Master’s in Dance from York University, she has presented at the National Arts Centre, the Canada Dance Festival and the Banff Centre.

A prolific dance artist, Deepti studied theatre and dance in Canada from an early age and has been a working artist for over 30 years. Deepti is constantly pushing boundaries and is a relentless experimentalist with a variety of theatrical interests.
