There's a lot of focus on AI, automation and technology.

Meanwhile, the people who are advancing in their careers are far too often expected to "watch a demo" or "take a tour" of new tools and tech in the workplace. That's not "training."

Technology can't fix everything, especially if people's skills are underused, lacking, or a bit rusty. It's important to align people, processes and technology to empower teams to thrive in the workplace.

That's where OEG can help. We offer AI-powered skills analyses. Once strengths and gaps are identified, we work with employers to upskill or reskill their workforce exactly where it's needed most.

Because capabilities matter.

Good times with GREAT people last night! From the moment the doors opened, the energy at the 2026 Forty Under 40 Awards was amazing!

It was fun to cheer on our Chief Strategy Officer, Michael Weatherhead, not only on the stage but during his video clips and various shout-outs throughout the evening.

From the magazine-cover photo shoots to an afterparty that kept the conversations going, the event will be long remembered as a highlight of 2026.

This win is a confirmation that we're doing something that is making a difference. When employers invest in people, leadership, and workforce capability, they are maximizing and optimizing performance, resilience, retention, and growth.

Congratulations to all of this year's Forty Under 40 recipients. Ottawa's future is in good hands.

And Michael, what a well-deserved honour! We're proud to have you on the team!

What a night!
From the moment the doors opened, the energy at the 2026 Forty Under 40 Awards was impossible to miss. Family, friends, colleagues, mentors, and supporters came together to celebrate some of Ottawa’s brightest rising leaders … and they definitely knew how to celebrate.

There were live shout-outs, video moments, magazine-cover photo shoots, an afterparty that kept the conversations going, and enough excitement to fill the room twice over.

For us, this recognition is about more than one person. It’s a reminder of what happens when organizations invest in people, leadership, and workforce capability. That’s the work that drives us every day, and it’s why we’re so proud to see Michael recognized alongside such an incredible group of leaders.

Congratulations to all of this year’s Forty Under 40 recipients. Ottawa’s future is in good hands.

And Michael, what a well-deserved honour. We’re proud to have you on the team!

Intense challenge 😉. Real teamwork.

SALON360 had the pleasure of watching the OEG team step into Mission Possible and practice some of the things that they preach - communication, collaboration, and creative thinking under pressure.

No surprise to us, they nailed it! 👏🏻

Big smiles, big vision, and great people in the room.✨

At the Ottawa Education Group, we’ve always believed that success is about more than business - it’s about the people you surround yourself with along the way.

Watching Alastair Summerlee CEO and Harry Sharma COO at the IBU launch is a reminder that even through the hard work, big goals, and constant growth… there’s still so much joy in what we do.

The conversations, the collaboration, the energy in the room - that’s the part that matters most.

Because OEG doesn’t just do this work to succeed… we do it because we genuinely love it.

Canada’s workforce is changing fast… but many workers are being left behind. 🇨🇦

📊 Only **29.7% of Canadian workers participated in job-related training in the past year**.
📊 In jobs that don’t require postsecondary education, participation drops to just **16.9%**. ([Statistics Canada][1])

The truth? Upskilling isn’t just nice to have anymore — it’s how businesses grow, teams stay relevant, and people create more opportunity.
