We had a wonderful masterclass weekend with Ontario Harp Society President Lucile Hildesheim! πΆβ¨ Itβs always such a special opportunity for students to work with a guest teacher, and Lucile shared thoughtful, insightful, and inspiring feedback with each participant.

Performances from our February group class! πΆβ¨ Some students shared new pieces theyβve been working on this term, while others gave practice performances in preparation for the upcoming masterclass with Lucile Hildesheim and other events.
The class was filled with so many wonderful performances that we almost ran out of time for games! We did manage to squeeze in a few minutes identifying intervals at the end. Such a fun and productive class! π

Weβre thrilled to announce that Lucile Brais Hildesheim will be giving a masterclass in Ottawa for harp students on the March 7β8 weekend! πΆβ¨
Lucile is an accomplished Celtic and classical harpist based in Ottawa. She performs regularly with her flute duo partner, Sheila, and has recorded several albums, including three solo and two duo albums. Lucile is a harp examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music and currently serves as President of the Ontario Harp Society.
A vibrant and creative teacher, Lucile brings her passion and love for the harp to her teaching β this masterclass is sure to be an inspiring experience for all who attend!
β¨ All ages and levels are welcome, and auditor spots are available as well.

In November, some of our students were invited to perform at the for the 28th Annual event for CHEO. With over 700 guests in attendance, the evening was filled with beautifully decorated Christmas trees, generosity, and celebration. We were deeply honoured to be the featured performers and to take part in such a meaningful and memorable night. β¨π
I am incredibly proud of our students, who worked diligently to prepare β some even learning to play the pedal harp specifically for this event. They performed with grace, focus, and spread holiday cheer. Bravo to each of them! πΆβ€οΈ

The results of our holiday practice challenge are in! πβ¨ Students practiced for 30 days and created mini beanie hats by adding one string for each day of practice. Just look at how adorable these hats turned out! Bravo to all of the students who successfully completed the challenge β what an accomplishment! ππΆ
