Summer may be winding down, but Friday Night Live at The Galley is still going strong! 🎶🍻

We’ve got a fresh lineup of local musicians taking the stage every Friday this September, plus all the ingredients for a great night out—delicious food, cold drinks, waterfront views, and even better company. 🎵🍹🌊

Whether you’re stopping by for dinner, drinks, live music, or a little bit of everything, there’s no better way to kick off your weekend than at The Galley! 🍽️🥂📍

And remember—you don’t need to be an NSC member to join us. Everyone is welcome! 😁

From evenings on the water and weekends at the club to races, regattas, social events, and everything in between, it’s been another summer to remember at NSC! 🌊☀️⛵️

A heartfelt thank you to our members, volunteers, staff, race committees, event organizers, instructors, and everyone who has helped make it all happen. 🙏 Your time, enthusiasm, and dedication are what keep our club and community thriving. ✨

But we’re not done just yet! ⚓️ There’s still plenty of sailing, racing, and fun ahead, with lots of opportunities to get together both on and off the water. 🌅⛵️👀

The FANFARE 2026 entry list is growing…is your name on it yet? 👀

Join us at Nepean Sailing Club September 12 & 13 for two action-packed days of fall dinghy racing on the Ottawa River! 🍂🏁🌊

We’re welcoming dinghies of all sizes, from Lasers and Optimists to 420s, Albacores, catamarans & more. Plus, the 505 fleet will be competing for the Canadian Championship title at FANFARE 2026! ⛵️🇨🇦🏆

And the fun doesn’t stop when Day 1 racing wraps up! 🎊 Saturday evening, NSC’s Annual Pig & Corn Roast will be happening right alongside FANFARE festivities. 🔥🐷🌽

Starting at 6:00 PM, enjoy slow-roasted whole hog, fresh corn on the cob and all the fixings for $20 + tax, followed by live Country & Celtic music from Hanks Hangover from 7–10 PM!🤠🎶 Tickets are available at the bar, in the office, or at the door.🎟️

Race weekend is quickly approaching, so now’s the time to check out the competition and add your boat to the entry list. Register by September 5 to take advantage of early-bird pricing! 🙌

Behind every great club is a team of dedicated volunteers. 💯

On September 20 at Harbourview Hall, we'll be honouring NSC's Past Directors as the Commodore and Membership Director present each with a Board Recognition Burgee—a small token of appreciation for the time, leadership, and countless volunteer hours they've devoted to our Club. 🚩

We invite all members to join us as we celebrate the individuals whose leadership and dedication helped shape the Nepean Sailing Club into the community it is today! ⛵️

Still looking for more racing after dark? 🤔 Join us this Friday, August 21, for the 7th annual Pinhey’s Point Sunset Time Trial! 🌊 ⛵️🏁

Set sail along the Ottawa River as the sun goes down, race out to Pinhey’s Point, and make your way back to NSC under the night sky. ☀️️➡️️🌙

The event is open to Interclub-registered keelboats from NSC, BYC, and CVGR, with boats welcome to race PHRF or JAM. And if you enjoyed Midnight Madness, here’s your chance to do it all over again — with an extra challenge: the marks aren’t lit! 🔦👀

So gather your crew, brush up on the Sailing Instructions, and get ready for one of the last summer evenings of racing from sunset into darkness. 🌅🌌

✨🌙 Midnight Madness & Parade of Lights is back! 🌙✨

Join us at the club this Friday, August 14, for an unforgettable night of sailing, racing, and illuminated boats lighting up the water! ⛵🌊🏁

Midnight Madness is open to keelboats, and no valid PHRF certificate is required to participate. Bring your crew, the required safety gear, and don’t forget to decorate your boat for the Parade of Lights! 🎊

And, of course, there’s more than bragging rights on the line! 😏 The After Hours Bowl is up for grabs, so get ready for some friendly competition under the night sky. 🏆 🌌

NSC's most popular up-river summer social event is happening TOMORROW! 🏖️✨

BASKIN’S BEACH 2026 SCHEDULE
🎲 3:00 PM – Beach games & socializing
🍽️ 6:30 PM – Pulled pork and salad dinner
🎵 Evening – Live music & bonfire (weather permitting)

📍 Location: Baskin's Beach, a private park located about 4 miles past Pinhey's Point on the Ontario shore.

Whether you're sailing up (join the fleet of 50+ boats!) or driving (approximately 35 minutes from the Club), Baskin’s Beach is one of NSC’s favourite summer traditions! ⛵☀️

Please let us know if you plan to attend by RSVPing below. A $10 per person donation (payable onsite) is appreciated to help offset event costs.
