When we invest in women's leadership, we get stronger institutions, better decisions, and a more accountable and representative public sector. At FMI, we see this every day in the women who lead, contribute, and lift others within our community and beyond.

This International Women's Day, we recognize there is still work ahead. But today, we pause to celebrate the women who strengthen public-sector financial management in Canada, and to recommit to being a space where they continue to grow.

Quand nous investissons dans le leadership des femmes, nous recevons en retour des institutions plus fortes, de meilleures décisions et un secteur public plus transparent et représentatif. À l’IGF, nous le constatons à chaque jour dans les actions des femmes qui mènent, contribuent et soutiennent les autres dans notre communauté et ailleurs.

En cette Journée internationale des femmes, nous reconnaissons qu’il reste encore du travail à accomplir. Mais aujourd’hui, prenons un moment pour célébrer les femmes qui ont renforcé la gestion financière du secteur public canadien et pour renouveler notre engagement à leur offrir un espace où elles peuvent continuer à progresser.

The Financial Management Institute of Canada (FMI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Roch Huppé as its new Chief Executive Officer. We’re thrilled to welcome Roch—a true leader in public sector financial management and a long-standing champion of FMI. Throughout his career, Roch has been deeply engaged with FMI, contributing his expertise and leadership over many years to support the growth and excellence of the financial management community.

As former Comptroller General of Canada, Roch provided government-wide leadership for financial management, internal audit, federal assets, and acquired services, and spearheaded the Financial Management Transformation initiative—driving lasting modernization across the Government of Canada. With Roch at the helm, FMI is poised to lead forward with impact.

L’Institut de la gestion financière du Canada (IGF) est ravi d’annoncer la nomination de Roch Huppé au poste de directeur général. Nous avons le plaisir d’accueillir M. Huppé, un leader du milieu de la gestion financière du secteur public et un défenseur de longue date de l’IGF. Tout au long de sa carrière, M. Huppé est toujours resté très impliqué au sein de l’IGF, partageant son expertise et faisant preuve de leadership pendant plusieurs années afin de promouvoir la croissance et l’excellence de la communauté de la gestion financière.

En tant qu’ancien contrôleur général du Canada, M. Huppé a assumé un rôle de leadership à l’échelle gouvernementale dans les domaines de la gestion financière, de la vérification interne, des actifs du gouvernement fédéral et des services acquis. Il a aussi été à la tête de l’initiative de transformation de la gestion financière, qui avait comme but la modernisation durable à l’échelle du gouvernement du Canada. Avec M. Huppé à la barre, l’IGF est assuré de continuer à progresser tout en faisant une différence.
