We are honoured to welcome Dr. Roberto Lewis-Fernández, Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, as one of this year’s keynote speakers.
Dr. Lewis-Fernández’s research focuses on developing culturally congruent clinical interventions and novel service-delivery approaches to help overcome disparities in the care of underserved cultural groups. He is a leading figure in cultural psychiatry who spearheaded the development of the Cultural Formulation Interview (CFI), a standardized cultural assessment protocol for use in mental health practice, for the DSM-5.
