Dear Grade One Parents and Guardians,
The community pandemic team has some concerns over the Omicron, the quick impact this variant has on schools, children, community and the level of vaccinations presently received by our students. You are encouraged to get your children vaccinated ASAP. Based on these concerns and decisions made by the pandemic team, we are informed that the students will remain distant learning for next week (the week of Jan.24th to Jan. 28th ), with the hope of getting children back the following week.
Next Monday or so, on Jan.24th, 2022, the Second homework package will be delivered to your house when the First homework package will be picked up from you. You will have to come out of your homes to submit your children’s completed homework packages and receive the new ones.
I have scheduled a daily zoom meeting /’ Grade One Online Classroom with Jen’, next week to help your children with distant learning and homework package. You will need an internet access at home with a proper device such as a computer, an Ipad, or a smart phone. You could download the Zoom program from Zoom official website: https://zoom.us/download, prior to a zoom meeting with me. If you would like your child to participate in my zoom online classes, please email or text-message me your email address ASAP so that I could email you my zoom meeting link invitation daily next week, (if you haven’t done so). My contact information (my email address and phone number) was attached to the first homework package. If you have further questions and concerns regarding the zoom meetings, please feel free to PM me here. Looking forward to seeing your children/my students online next week!
I really miss all my students and hope that we could meet in class/in person soon.
Take care and stay safe,
-Jen (Grade One Classroom teacher at Missabay Community School)
