We Drive is hiring drivers 25 years of age or older. You must have a valid drivers license and knowing how to drive standard is preferred. You are paid daily. Please contact us at 905-433-7418

I hope this post sees everyone healthy. Presently we are not open we will be opening Friday, June 19 at 4 PM. Our hours will be assessed weekly. This week as of Friday, June 19 we will be open on Fridays and Saturdays only due to information from restaurants and bars and their timeline of opening things up A lot of our drivers are not coming back to work yet but a couple of the requirements that will be needed from the customer will be they need to have a mask on during their ride if they don’t come with a mask then we will sell them one for one dollar. We will be in touch with the restaurants and bars. Please be patient we will get to you you may have a little longer of a wait pending on how busy it is. Please stay safe and healthy.

Festive RIDE Results - Week Two

DRPS completed its second week of the Festive R.I.D.E program, stopping more than 2,600 vehicles and charging 25 drivers with drinking and driving offences.

Durham Regional Officers conducted RIDE checks in Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, Oshawa, Port Perry, Uxbridge and Clarington with the following totals (the numbers in brackets reflect 2016 second week totals for comparison):

2,697 (2,493) Vehicles stopped by R.I.D.E.
101 (104) People given Roadside Breath Tests
19 (23) People received "3 Day Suspensions" for registering a "WARN"
2 (0) Novice Driver received a 24hr Licence Suspension
25 (27) People were charged with Drinking and Driving Offences
34 (38) Criminal Code Charges
4 (4) G1 G2 / Young Driver Licence Holder Breaches of No Alcohol Condition
97 (39) Charged with various Highway Traffic Act offences
3 (1) Drug Offences

After the second week, the Festive RIDE team has charged a total of 33 motorists for drinking and driving offences. Last year at the same time, 46 had been charged. Another 33 motorists have registered a WARN on a roadside screening device and had their driver's licence suspended for 3 days. Last year at the same time, 42 driver's had their licence suspended for registering a WARN.

A complete list of those charged with Impaired/Exceed will be posted on our website later this week at www.drps.ca under Hot Topics.

Note: Under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, anyone charged with a drinking and driving criminal offence will have his or her driver's licence suspended for 90 days and there vehicle impounded automatically for 7 days.
