Congratulations to Hamza Noor and Muhammad Usman! 🥳👏🏻
Hamza, a Computer Science Master’s program student in the Graphics and Virtual Dynamics Lab, and Muhammad Usman, Assistant Professor at Ontario Tech University’s Faculty of Science, received the Best Research Paper Award at the International Conference on Computer Animation, Social Agents, and Extended Reality (CASA-XR 2026), held at Campus Biotech in Geneva, Switzerland, from June 1–3, 2026.🏆
CASA is the world's oldest computer animation conference, bringing together leading researchers and innovators in computer animation, virtual humans, social agents, and extended reality.
Their award-winning research presented a framework that enables virtual crowds to form and follow footstep trails on dynamically deformable terrains, resulting in more realistic navigation behaviour and terrain evolution over time.
