The Columbus Community Playgroup Co-operative, Inc. (CCPC) was founded in 1987 as a non-profit, licensed pre-school for children ages 2.5 years to 5 years.
CCPC has two morning classes for 2.5 to 5 year olds and one afternoon class for 3 to 5 year olds. Just minutes from Oshawa, Whitby and Brooklin, the school is located in the historic Town Hall of the Village of Columbus (just north of Oshawa). The building boasts several brightly decorated rooms with exceptional natural light in both the main classroom and gym facilities.

At Columbus, we know how important small group experiences and individual attention are to the development of each and every child. 💛
It’s not only essential for learning but it’s where relationships are built, confidence begins to grow, and children feel truly seen, heard, and safe.
In this photo, Arlene is working closely with a small group of three children, guiding them through hands-on learning and thoughtful conversation. In moments like these, children feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and taking brave steps in their learning.
Small groups allow our teachers to meet each child right where they are, supporting strengths, encouraging growth, and nurturing a love for learning that lasts far beyond our classroom.
