A bit about the tune:
The lyric is gently abstract. Follow HAILZ to watch the song meaning unfold as told by her. But, Hailz wanted to really confront how it feels when you are under attack of anxiety. Even when you soldier on, sometimes it can feel like the only refuge is within you. Like there’s no where to hide but in the dark corners only you know, hiding from a searchlight. Hiding in the shadows of yourself can feel like safety in a war where the adversary is you.

A songs impact becomes more salient when the themes are culturally relevant. The metaphors mirror themes prominent in our world today, such as war, seeking refuge and avoiding chaos.

The real fun is hearing what the song ends up meaning to others.

There are a lot of reasons why momentum can grind to a halt. And why getting the boulder moving again can feel super overwhelming.

Luckily there are also ways to set yourself up for better chances of success. And I’m going to share some of my best tips and strategies for getting your momentum back so you can finish more of the songs your start.

Not all songs are worth saving. But most are, especially if the feeling that inspired the attempt was true.

Building confidence as a writer is achieved in many ways, but one of the biggest ways you can super charge your confidence is to prove to yourself that your ideas are worthy and you’re capable of pulling them over the line. 💪🏼💜
