BREAKING: Although this post is not AR related, it's still important that we share it with you. UOIT has recently passed a policy that restricts public participation at their meetings. They continue to make wrong decisions which impact student life, including contracts with food providers that neglect to care about veg/vegan options offered on campus. This is unacceptable! HUGE NEWS: China has long been known as a nation that lacks animal welfare laws. This year however, Chinese animal activists have started a massive movement to bring much needed changes, like an end to the Annual Dog Meat Festival where dogs are beaten, tortured and slaughtered for human consumption.

It's important to note that a cow, chicken, pig, goat, sheep, duck, turkey and horse all suffer like dogs and cats do. Please choose compassion over violence & go veg!

The Jinhua Hutou Dog Meat Festival was abruptly canceled last week after local officials were shamed by an online campaign begun by animal rights advocates.
