Community Playbox
We're excited to share a new addition to our playground—our Community Play Box!
The Play Box is filled with toys and equipment designed to encourage outdoor play, physical activity, creativity, and fun for children and families in our community. Whether you're visiting the playground after school, on weekends, or throughout the summer, we hope you'll enjoy exploring everything it has to offer.
By taking care of the equipment together, we can help ensure that everyone can enjoy it.
We also welcome donations of new or gently used outdoor play equipment to help keep this program growing and thriving.

Happy Summer!!
As we wrap up another busy and successful school year, we want to take a moment to thank our Gesner families for their ongoing support and encouragement. Your involvement makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and our school community.
We are incredibly proud of all that our students have accomplished this year and grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside such supportive families.
We wish each of you a fun, relaxing, and safe summer filled with special moments and time together. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September!

Caroline Fletcher Memorial Award
This year marks the very first presentation of the Caroline Fletcher Memorial Award, making it an especially meaningful moment for our school community.
This year’s recipient is a student who truly shows what this award represents each and every day. She consistently goes out of her way to include others, demonstrates kindness in both big and small ways, and helps make our school a warm, welcoming place for everyone.
It is our honour to present the very first Caroline Fletcher Memorial Award to… Nora!

Grade 2 Celebration Picnic

Yesterday we celebrated our amazing Grade 2 students with a special picnic!
As they get ready to take their next big step, we wish each of them all the very best in grade 3 and beyond. We are so proud of you!
You will always be an important part of our school, and we will truly miss you.

Yesterday, we celebrated with our amazing volunteers who make such a meaningful difference in our school community.
We are incredibly grateful for the time, care, and generosity you share so willingly.

Teddy Bear Picnic

We had a wonderful Teddy Bear Picnic at Gesner Street School today!
Students brought their favourite teddy bears and ate their lunch—all in the shade to stay cool on this warm day. It was a beautiful way to celebrate the end of the school year!

Career Day
Friday our students had an incredible opportunity to explore and learn. From discovering the fascinating world of beekeeping, to investigating rocks, to getting an up-close look at a helicopter, students were fully engaged.
Career Day is a powerful way to help students connect their learning to the real world and begin to imagine the many possibilities for their future. Today truly sparked curiosity, excitement, and big dreams!
