2026 Forest of Reading Winners Announced: Canadian Students Choose Their Favourite Books Discover the 2026 Forest of Reading winners! See the full list, event highlights, and author interviews from Canada’s largest youth reading festival.

Dear BBQ Attendees,

It looks like the weather is in our favour! We will be setting up outside in the yard so please make your way to the back through the parking lot. We will have volunteers on hand to direct you to the registration table.

Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets, outdoor toys and hats! This year, we will have a visit from Merry Dairy and The YardGameGuy party Rentals.

A couple reminders for those attending:

- Pre-order envelopes can be picked up at the registration table starting at 5:30pm
- If you have not pre-ordered, a limited amount of food and beverages will be available for cash purchase at the registration table.
- Tickets for the carnival games will be available for cash purchase on site (4 for $1.00 - small denominations are appreciated).
- Merry Dairy will accept various forms of payment at their truck.
- We kindly ask that families remain outside unless it is to use the washrooms. Adult supervision is required at all times.

The first day of the 2026-2027 school year at the is September 1st, BEFORE Labour Day! We cannot wait to welcome everyone back for another amazing year of learning, growth, and community.

Just a reminder that The Family Smartphone Guide with Margot Denommé from RAADD is happening tonight in-person at Divine Infant at 7:00 pm. When you arrive, please park in the main lot and enter through the side door for the most direct access to the gym - the main entrance doors will be locked.

We’re also pleased to share that the first 40 families to arrive will receive a complimentary copy of The Family Smartphone Guide. Light refreshments will be available throughout the evening.
