A great day playing in the hunter ring!

So proud of both baby horses for playing with the big kids, and of Morgan for her first show back (especially with only having rode shadow twice šŸ˜‰). Couldn’t ask for a better day, here’s to many more!

Shadow
6yo 16 - 16.1 hh tb gelding
Solid wtc, will collect and extend, happy to frame up and has tons of buttons, generally more whoa than go but just enough go to keep the average rider happy

Lands his leads over fences, working on a change currently, shouldn’t take much to finish it
Schooling up to 2’6, tons of potential for more
Would make an excellent eq or hunter horse, or I’m sure would be happy to light it up a bit for the jumpers
Or he seems to really enjoy dressage type stuff, so really shape him any direction
I’ve done a bunch of western stuff with him as well, he’ll even lope a little pattern
Happily hacks out anywhere, feilds, roads, traffic safe, used to dogs and kids ect. Happy to go out by himself as well

Has been used in a little lesson program with no issues, he’s good about packing around littles (but does have a big trot so probably not the perfect fit for a short stirrup kiddo)
But could totally be handled by a youth in a program, or would make a excellent adult ammy horse
Or a pro could do some really cool things with this guyšŸ˜‰

Has schooled off property and been to little schooling shows/clinics, and is the same horse everywhere he goes. He’s got the foundation, now someone needs to give him a job

Happy to live in or out, relatively easy keeper, fairly low in the pecking order, barefoot, no vices, sound with no maintenance
Biggest quirks with this guy are that he gets cold in the rain and he is a bit picky with saddle fitšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

All that said, he is 6, so I would really like him to go to someone with experience or in a program with a coaches support. He has a ton of potential and deserves to reach it
I will be picky where he goes, I’ve had this guy for a while because I like him, but he deserves his own person or a real job

Asking lowest 5 figures, 10šŸ„•šŸ„•šŸ„•
Or will consider trades for a pony or small (

A pleasure pony and a 3yo standardbred walk into a hunter ring…… and look pretty darn goodšŸ˜‰

Jokes aside, I am so beyond pleased with my boys this past weekend
A great first show for taureau, and a great first English show for Shane

Huge shoutout to megan and north river riders for putting on an excellent show series this summer!

The weeks are flying by, and it’s been incredible watching the partnerships between our trainers and horses continue to grow. As they spend more time together, they’re discovering the little things that make each horse unique.

This week, Sarah shares what has surprised her most about Taureau since they began this journey together. We won’t spoil her answer—you’ll have to watch the video to find out! šŸ‘€

Be sure to cheer Sarah and Taureau on in the comments as they head into the final stretch of the 2026 Reinventing Racehorses Trainers Challenge! šŸ“šŸ’™

Two young tbs looking for part boarders!

One mare, one gelding, both young but solid citizens. Both have been regularly used in my small lesson program and ridden by beginners (and are rockstars for that!), but due to their age I would much prefer intermediate or advanced riders only. Absolutely zero bad behaviours from either of them, just oversized (16.1 and 16.3) babies that sometimes need solid aids and steering.
Both happily hack out alone or in a group, not spooky, great on the ground. Solid wtc, both started over fences ( cross rails for one, regularly schooling up to 2’6 with the other) just sweet uncomplicated horses that could use an extra rider(s) while I’m busy.
Both happily go western or English.
Showing opportunities available to the perfect candidate, but also happy to accommodate someone who just wants to hack around and keep things low key.

Located in Ramara, ten minutes from Orillia and brechin, half an hour from Barrie and gravenhurst
Coach on site, fenced outdoor, small indoor for the winter, loads of space to trail ride. Fairly quiet and super laid back barn. Youth welcome but please discuss with parent/guardian beforehand.
Flexible rates and days, please pm for more info

Sarah and Taureau continue to prove just how much can be accomplished when trust and consistency come together.

This week’s focus included our bonus challenge—gait transitions under saddle—and it’s been wonderful watching this partnership continue to grow despite getting a later start than the rest of the field. Every ride builds a little more confidence, understanding, and connection between this pair.

Sarah stepped into this challenge after Week 2, and she’s embraced the opportunity with both hands. Watching Taureau settle into his new routine and continue progressing each week has been incredibly rewarding, and we can’t wait to see what these two accomplish over the remainder of the challenge.

Head over to YouTube to catch their full Week 4 update, and don’t forget to leave Sarah and Taureau some encouragement in the comments!

The cat is officially out of the bagšŸ™ˆ

Let’s kick off our week 3 video updates as a new partnership begins! ā¤ļø This week we’re excited to officially welcome Sarah Shea of Orillia, Ontario to the 2026 Reinventing Racehorses Trainers Challenge as Taureau’s new trainer.

When we unexpectedly found ourselves looking for a trainer partway through the challenge as Kristin sadly had to step away this year, we truly weren’t sure what to expect. What happened next completely blew us away. More than 15 incredible people reached out, willing to jump in at a moment’s notice and give Taureau every opportunity to succeed. We can’t thank each and every one of you enough for your support.

Sarah brings a background primarily in Quarter Horses and has embraced the challenge of joining a few weeks in. We can’t wait to watch her and Taureau build their partnership and see where the next nine weeks take them.

Be sure to give Sarah a warm welcome in the comments and follow along as this exciting new team begins their journey together! šŸ“ā¤ļø
