Representing Orangeville at STRIPE International 🌎🤖

This past weekend, Dylan, Logan, Ashton, Silas, Devan, Zaara, Zaroon, Remy, Vedd, Adrian, and Brandon represented Orangeville at the STRIPE International Competition in Niagara Falls.

Joining students from across North America and beyond, they spent the weekend doing what innovators do best—solving problems, thinking creatively, collaborating as a team, and bringing ideas to life.

Competitions come and go, but the skills developed through these experiences last a lifetime. Confidence. Resilience. Critical thinking. Leadership. These are the qualities that help shape tomorrow’s engineers, programmers, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

We are incredibly proud to see Orangeville represented on an international STEM stage by such talented and ambitious young people.

The future is bright, and it’s being built by students like these. 🚀

“Why do windshield wipers move back and forth?”

Because someone engineered them that way. 🚗☔

Today, Quinn built a window wiper unit and learned how motors and mechanisms work together to solve a real-world problem.

The next time it rains, he’ll know there’s a lot more engineering behind windshield wipers than most people realize. 🤖

“What’s a gyrosensor?”

It’s a sensor that helps robots know when they’re turning and stay on course. Think of it as an inner ear for robots. 🤖🌀

Today, Kellan built one.

We’re pretty sure that’s cooler than anything most of us did before lunch.
