For 18 years, Mind Over Math has served the students of this community. We have tutored hundreds of students in Math and Science. We have mentored many young tutors. And, we have done our very best to be a positive force in this town.

After two school years terribly affected by Covid regulations and protocols and 15 months of provincial lockdowns and rules - along with our lease at The Foley House coming to an end, we have decided to close Mind Over Math.

I have spoken to many who have said what a positive impact we have made on their students - and please know: it is truly our pleasure, our absolute joy to have helped the students of this amazing community in math and science for so many years.

Besides your students, one of the most wonderful aspects of this work has been our incredible employees. We have employed so many young tutors, we have mentored them, helped them grow and sent them on to bigger and better things. We are immensely proud that some of our tutors are now working as math and science teachers. What a gift it has been to know and work with all of these tutors.

There are several factors to this decision and Covid19 and the unknown in the upcoming school year is the deciding factor to our inability to function as we'd like as a tutoring centre and small business.

We will remain online with Zoom tutoring for the remainder of the school year.

We hoped to open in person on Saturdays but with the recent extension to the Stay at Home order into June, we have decided to stay closed for in person tutoring and keep the consistency of our online - Zoom tutoring. This is the best decision for the students, parents and our tutors.

Yet another Covid update. With all of the uncertainty from school boards, public health and government regulations, we have made the decision to Zoom Tutor for the remainder of the school year.
This will keep things more consistent for students, parents and my tutors and safe for all.
When the government lifts the Stay at Home order, we will look at opening our center on Saturdays only for in person tutoring.
All weekday /after school tutoring will take place on Zoom until the end of the school year.

Today, on International Women's Day ❤ We want to reflect on the wonderful women who make Mind Over Math so great!
Of course, these wonderful women are our past and our present female tutors from The University of Waterloo and OF COURSE: all of the lovely young ladies we have the privilege to tutor -- And a special shout out to all of our past students currently pursuing STEM studies at college or university! Good for you girls!!
